The New Design
Okay, I think I like the feel of this much better than that other frames crap. None of the flash buttons are active as of yet, but they will be soon. I have to create all the other pages and move all my images to the new server. I think I should be able to do it in a day or two but do not know when i will have time as of yet. Stay tuned, folks!

Not Enough Time
I will have a busy weekend ahead of me helping my
wife do a bead show at the local community college art center, so I may not have alot of time to work on the site. I am rebuilding the entire thing in
Dreamweaver MX and learning as I go, so it may take a while for the site to get moved and rebuilt completely. I really enjoy creating and designing, also learning new software, so it is a win-win situation. Tedious as it may seem, it is worth seeing the final work, like a piece of interactive digital art! Thanks for your patience. I will post again later on today...

This May Get A Little Rough
I am going to be working on transferring this site to a better host so please stay with me on this. I am going to be moving it to
and after I get the entire site moved and set up, I will then direct cykovisuals.tk to it. It is gonna take some time because I am just learning how to use Dreamweaver MX 2004 but I am confident and I learned alot tonight. Wish me luck!
Until next time.....

Fall In Arizona
"Superstition Mountains & Saguaros"
© 2001 Eric Pickett
Nothing new today, other than I had a nice sleep last night. I feel good this morning. It is starting to cool down a lot here in Arizona. I checked the thermostat this morning and it was 72 degrees in the house when I got up. That is a bit cooler than I like it to be in the house unless it is in the middle of summer. So I fired up the heater, and got it back up to like 77 degrees or so and it felt much better. It is getting cold outside at night, cold enough to wear a jacket. I prefer the winters over the summers here because the summers are deadly hot and you can't always cool down outside. In winter, you can always pile on the extra clothes and jackets to bundle up and stay warm, much better in my eyes. So.... needless to say I am liking this cooler weather, I just wouldn't want to be waiting for a bus out in it at 5:30am (been there, done that). There isn't much of a fall here in Arizona either. Here, we have like 2 seasons - Summer and Winter, at least thats how it feels. Spring pops it's fresh head up for about a month or so then the summer comes along and scorches everything away, hehe. Oh, and it only rains like 4 or 5 times a year, mostly during the
monsoon season near the end of summer when we get some really nice
lightning too. This year we didn't have too much of a monsoon season, nothing to write home about. We are always praying for rain around here, it's no wonder the American Indians had
rain dances.

Dual Display Baby!
The other day I thought I would take a cruise on my
Yamaha Zuma II scooter and I go down a road I usually do because there is hardly any traffic because it is a road off the main street. It leads back into an older subdivision and there is a forced right turn at the end of it. Instead of turning, I went straight onto the dirt behind the directional sign where they are clearing a 2 - 3 acre lot to build something. I notice there are a couple of stray dogs there eating something out of a bag and I look up ahead and I see this trash heap - someone had dumped a lot of trash and a hot water heater. Among the trash I found empty boxes for a home sound system, black trash bags filled with lots of empty beer bottles and stuff, an old Compaq computer with the case exposed to the drizzling we just had, and an NEC C700 17" monitor. Now at first, I got off my scooter and inspected stuff, (hey, another man's trash is another man's treasure) then I thought to myself, "What if this monitor works?" I decided to go home and get the van and come pick it up. I went and got it, cleaned it off with some Windex and then found out I didn't have a signal cable with two male ends. Off to Best Buy I go and return $18.00 poorer to test this sucker out. I figured if it didn't work, then I could return the cable and get the money put back into my checking account, simple. So I hook it all up and IT WORKED! I was stoked. So I added the monitor to my current system, used the Digital-Analog adapter that came with my video card and viola!, I now have
dual display baby. Pretty sweet, thanks for throwing all that "trash" on the construction site! Got any more?

"I'm Lovin' It!"
I think I am really going to like this blogging deal. It gives me an outlet to speak my
voice in my own little corner of cyberspace. It also gives me the opportunity to hone my
web designing skills. One thing I will do in the near future is move the site to better host without ads. This site is going to improve nonetheless. I do have plans for my graphic designing abilities and this (the site) is part of the foundation, along with a good portfolio and a degree. I am a firm believer in experience before paper though. If it were my decision, I would always choose someone that has "been there and done that" over a
newb with a piece of paper, but that's just my opinion.

Template Update
Okay, so now my template is set and nto some ugly "
Split Green Pea" color scheme, man, that was awful. I don't think I have ever seen a site with that color scheme before but I liked the page layout so it'll work. I will be
tweaking this puppy later on tonight when I get home using the broadband and also switching it to host elsewhere to remove that dang ad you see above. I don't know why they put that crap there, it isn't like anyone clicks the things anyhow. Although I could be wrong, it is kinda like telemarketing.... someone must be buying into their sales pitch or else they would stop calling, right? Or would they? I hate
telemarketers...

What did I do now?
Hello and welcome to my BLOG. I figured since everyone else was doing it, I might take a stab at it, being the lemming I am. Who knows, I may enjoy it. I was told that keeping a daily journal was good for you, so we shall see. I will probably customize this ugly template to a black BG and make it look like my site soon. I think it would be a nice addition. I do not know who will come here and read this on a daily basis, other than maybe some family and a friend or two, but I will try my best to keep it going.
Sit back and enjoy the ride, you owe me a nickel.
